Peter Lawen
Vice President of Property Management
Peter began officially working for Paramount Management in 1994, tending to maintenance repairs, painting, viewings, and rent collection. He found that helping the residents was highly rewarding work and was eager to help grow the family business. While studying business at Saint Mary’s University, he continued to work for the company part-time. Peter’s current role as VP, Property Management allows him to ensure that all residents have an exceptional living experience. He’s proud to work with a wonderful team who go above and beyond to give residents that ‘home sweet home’ feeling. Born and raised in Halifax, Peter feels privileged to live in such a vibrant, growing city. On the weekends, Peter enjoys spending time with family, biking, skiing, canoeing, and exploring Nova Scotia’s trails on his four-wheeler.
Taryn Stiles
Senior Property Manager
Taryn is a widely experienced real estate and property manager who has been with the Lawen Group since 2013. She strives to provide an unmatched living experience to each and every Paramount resident and she was thrilled to find a company whose commitment to superior service so closely aligns with hers. A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Taryn loves the diversity of Halifax, as well its food scene. In the summertime, you can usually find her by the lake with friends and family.
Arvin Kovacevic
Property Manager
Arvin has been with the team since 2012 and is responsible for ensuring that all tenants experience exceptional accommodations and service. He loves building strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and staff. His goal is to make everyone feel a sense of pride and comfort in their home, job site, or workplace. Arvin is originally from Bosanska Gradiska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) but now calls Halifax home. Outside of work, he enjoys being with family, creating both chaos and order in his painting studio, and travelling to new destinations around the world.
Angela Hire
Commercial Property Manager
Angela Hire is a commercial property management professional with 15+ years of experience optimizing real estate portfolios. A Halifax native from a military family, she moved frequently in her younger years, shaping her adaptability and resilience. She most recently spent a decade in Newfoundland and Labrador, further strengthening her expertise across complex portfolios and stakeholder management. Outside of work, Angela enjoys time with family and travelling with her partner to catch a Toronto Blue Jays game.
Janna Ewing
Leasing Agent
Janna is a Halifax native who brings a wealth of customer service experience to her role as Leasing Agent. Before transitioning to residential leasing, she spent 15 years as a travel agent, helping clients plan memorable adventures around the world. Her passion for travel remains strong, and she loves exploring new destinations whenever she can. Closer to home, Janna enjoys making memories with her two daughters, especially attending concerts and sports games together.
Dan Diamond
Director of Maintenance, Operations & Asset Management
Dan brings extensive experience in property and facilities management, construction, project management, and hospitality to his role. Originally from New Brunswick, he spent many years in Alberta before making Halifax home. His diverse background has shaped a practical, solutions-focused leadership style and a commitment to exceptional service through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Outside of work, Dan enjoys time with his family and pursuing his lifelong passion for music. A classically trained musician, he continues to perform whenever possible and values the creativity and discipline music brings to his personal and professional life.
